An exhibition exploring human connections.

We are pleased to present a new group exhibition that brings together paintings and sculptures by sixteen artists from across the United Kingdom, whose works explore the themes of human connectedness, interrelationships, and spirituality. The artworks have been selected to tell a visual story, evoking a sense of unity, compassion, and the desire for meaningful connections in an increasingly fragmented world.

The collection of paintings will include Nelson Diplexcito’s tender and immersive renderings of half-remembered moments, Joe Packer’s invented landscapes, and Sue Cohen’s intimate depictions of human relationships. Visitors will also encounter sculptures by Poppy Whatmore and Hermione Allsopp who both use everyday materials and objects to create new configurations examining the nature of human experience.

The title of the exhibition is based on a quote from the poem The Great Wagon, by the Sufi poet Jalal al-Din Rumi. Rumi uses the metaphor of a wagon to convey the idea of a spiritual journey and mystical concepts, drawing out what connects humanity to each other and to the divine.

Friday 1 September, 6-8pm.

Closing Event

Sunday 23 September, 3-5pm. There will be a poetry reading by Mary Genis and a talk by participating artists.
